Campfire Chat with Andrea Prashad, Senior Vice-President at Amica Senior Lifestyles

In our last Campfire Chat of 2022 we will meet with Andrea Prashad, VP of Resident Experience & Risk Management with Amica Senior Lifestyles. We will be talking about the future of seniors care. As many of us are witnessing our parents move into the oldest demographic, we know that they will not want the same things as they age as our grandparents. To top it off - there are a lot of them! How does our collective care system shift to support the numbers and their needs? We are hoping to tap into multiple perspectives to find different thinking about this big shift coming our way.

As Senior Vice-President, Andrea leads Amica Senior Lifestyles’ strategic operations and risk management across a complex national multi-site senior housing and care service organization.  Andrea joined Amica in 2014 and has been a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors, providing strategic counsel on enterprise risk management, change transformation, developments and acquisitions, and operations from the beginning of her time there.

Passionate about creating incredible outcomes for customers and team members, Andrea serves as Vice-Chair of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association Board and a member on the Fiddlehead Care Farm Board.  Andrea is recognized for her outstanding leadership and professional contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic, and received a Leadership Excellence Award for this headship.

Andrea holds a law degree (LL.B) and a Masters in Public Policy, Administration and Law (MPPAL). She completed the Governance Essentials Program, Institute of Corporate Directors at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management as well as the Strategic Management of Regulatory & Enforcement Agencies Program from Harvard University.
