About the event
Jake is currently the Executive Director of the Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network, an organization that provides primary health care services to Northwest Calgary. In the past he worked in various roles at the clinical, zone and provincial levels of Alberta’s healthcare system. Before 2011, Jake lived and worked in BC and had roles as a primary care paramedic, managing various community-based residential and non-residential mental health programs and is a founding board member of the Veterans Transition Network, a national non-profit organization. He completed his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at the Haskayne School of Business in 2024, where he explored the implementation of change in healthcare, as well as a graduate of Royal Roads University’s MBA program with a specialization in leadership, Prescott College’s Master of Arts program in Counselling Psychology and Queen’s University’s Bachelor of Arts program in Human Geography.
