Healthcare is shaped by nuance, complexity, and context—yet our systems often favour clear-cut answers and simplified solutions. What becomes possible when we resist oversimplification and instead embrace the full complexity of real-world care? In this session, Kate Ellis invites participants to explore how acknowledging nuance can reshape policy decisions, influence care delivery, and deepen how we interpret and use information. Through reflection and dialogue, we’ll consider what is gained—and what is lost—when complexity is ignored, and how leaning into it can lead to more responsive, humane, and effective healthcare.
